Hi from the Napa Valley! – Well, needless to say the first half of this year has been
unprecedented, with the advent of the Covid Virus Pandemic. We are being tested
in all areas of our lives, and it has been our creativity that’s allowed us to adjust...
finding new ways to ‘virtually celebrate’ birthdays, weddings, new births in our
families ... and all the special occasions that truly earmark our lives! We will see the
other side of this craziness ... and move forward again in our lives with virgor, com-
passion, and a renewed thankfulness for life itself!
I can’t think of a better way to begin ‘moving forward’ than by releasing a new wine
for us – PALAZZO 2019 Sandy Beach Rosé!
When I was a young man traveling/backpacking my way through Europe in the late
70’s, my adventures led me to the alluring coastline of Provence, France! I spent an
amazing ‘life-changing’ 3 months/summer, living on the beach in the little seaport
village of La Ciotat, located in the heart of the beautiful Côte d’Azur...and the land
of Provence Rosé!
Lavender fields, olive trees, Cézanne, the powerful Mistral Winds ... and of course
wine ... specifically Provence Rosé! Everyday, starting at lunchtime and continuing
into the warm summer evenings, on terraces & beaches, at picnics, and just about
every restaurant table in town ... there would be a ‘bottle or two’ of the pretty pink
necter – Provence Rosé! Hence the term “Rosé All Day” was born!
The PALAZZO 2019 Sandy Beach Rosé is made in the traditional-style of the amazing
Rosés that I first enjoyed that summer living on the beaches in Provence! Bursting
with delicious fresh fruit favors of raspberry, watermelon & early Spring strawberries!
Crisp and light on the palate, with beautiful floral aromas of cassis, white roses and
lavender. What’s not to like! Our new Sandy Beach Rosé is a fabulous wine for sip-
ping with friends on the patio, and/or pairing with lighter foods such as ... Assorted
Cheeses & Charcuterie, Chicken Caesar Salad, Bruschetta, Grilled Octopus, Salmon
and Halibut! In essence ... A Great Food Wine!
