In keeping with the style and spirit of all the red wines I produce, my white wine is a ‘beautiful & elegantly crafted food wine’. My inspiration once again comes from the wonderful Bordeaux region of France … and the great White Wines / Bordeaux Blanc’s produced there!
The PALAZZO 2011 Cuvée Blanc is a ‘beautiful & elegantly crafted’ food wine … made predominately from the wonderfully exotic & aromatic Semillon grape, with just a touch of Sauvignon Blanc blended in for ‘finesse & structure’. The nose is once more wonderfully ‘floral & seductive’ with intense aromas of pear & orange blossoms, rose petals, and hints of spearmint, beeswax & white truffle laced throughout. On the palate there is a rich, broad oily texture & weight, along with bright, zesty acidity, giving the wine a ‘beautifully balance mouth-feel’! Delicious white peach, nectarine & apricot fruit flavors fill your mouth, with notes of Meyer lemon zest & a slight, pleasant bitterness of walnut skin adding complexity. The finish
is ‘lush & weighty’ and wonderfully long — especially for a white wine! A ‘superior food wine’ to be enjoyed!
NOTE: Do not over chill or put this wine in the refrigerator! It will close down the wine & crush ALL of the beautiful floral aromatics & the richness & weight of the mouthfeel. No colder than “cellar temp”, just treat it like a great bottle of Red Wine. The French Laundry ‘decants’ my Cuvée Blanc table-side, allowing the wine to ‘open up and show all it’s complexity’! Try decanting it at home … you’ll be AMAZED!!!

Robert Parker – Review
“The 2011 is sensational. Rich, with loads of honeysuckle, orange marmalade and caramelized grapefruit in a medium to full-bodied, gorgeously pure, rich style, it should drink nicely for up to a decade.”
